Our junior section is the lifeblood of our club and our aim is to take children from beginners at the age of 5 all the way through to our senior set-up while having a lot of fun on the way.
We run teams in the Herts Leagues from U9 to U17s and have a proud history of winning multiple titles at all age groups.
Last season all four of our senior teams featured players who started off as beginners at Radlett and two of our recent youth graduates, Josh De Caires and Noah Cornwell have gone on to earn pro contracts with Middlesex.
We have an experienced and enthusiastic team of qualified coaches, led by Nick Fielden and Tom Jenkins who are happy to help beginners and more experienced players alike.
Our boys and girls' minis section (school years reception to year 4) train on Friday evenings in the summer.
Older boys (school years 5-10) train on Sunday mornings and our U14-U19 academy players train on Thursday evenings in the summer.
Our girls' softball training (year 6 and below) is on Sunday mornings and hardball training for older girls is on Wednesday evenings in the summer.
All junior players will be given one of our stylish yellow playing shirts as part of their membership. U9s upwards and girls will also receive a pair of dark blue trousers.
We have been running autumn and winter coaching sessions on Sunday afternoons this year; these are open to non-members but places are limited. We are also running some summer holiday courses - these will be on sale in the Shop when they are available.
Outdoor summer training for club members runs each week from April until the end of July.
Matches will be held on Sundays or weekday evenings. Younger age groups play 8-a-side softball pairs cricket which is designed to make sure everyone gets an equal chance to bat and bowl. Older age groups play 11-a-side hardball T20 games.
Our excellent net facilities are available to all club members (book a slot via the website) and our coaches are also available for reasonably priced one-to-one sessions for those who want them.
We encourage parents to get involved, whether it is as team managers, spectators, or enjoying a drink and food from the Teatro team at Friday training or a coffee and a bacon sandwich on Sunday mornings.
Our Young Player memberships will open in February.
